Linda S. Coyle earned a Bachelor of Philosophy in Classics from Northwestern University in Chicago in 1980 and earned a Juris Doctoris from Marquette Law School in 1983. Prior to attending law school, she was a portfolio-analyst at a large brokerage firm in Chicago. She was a Partner of the firm Coyle & Risser from 1986 until 1994. Attorney Coyle has been the Lead Attorney at the Coyle Law Office since 2005. Her practice focuses on family and juvenile law as well as estate planning and real estate. She is admitted to practice in the State of Wisconsin and in the US District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin. She has spent her entire professional career practicing in Waukesha County.
An appointed Court Commissioner, Attorney Coyle is active in local and state bar and professional boards and has made many professional achievements in her career. She currently is President-Elect of the Waukesha County Bar Association and co-head of the family law section of the WCBA. She has served as a Director of the Children and the Law Section of the State Bar of Wisconsin, a director of the Wisconsin Interprofessional Committee on Divorce, a director of the Care Center of Family Services of Waukesha County, and is currently a district member of the Office of Lawyer Regulation.
Her commitment to Waukesha County is exemplified by her pro bono work, cumulating in the 2010 Volunteer of the Year for the Waukesha County Self Help Center. Her peers have chosen her as a Super Lawyer in the area of family law for 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013. Additionally, Attorney Coyle was named in M Magazine's Top Lawyers in Wisconsin for 2011, 2012 and 2013 and Best Lawyers in Wisconsin for 2014. She has a 9.5 Superior Rating AVVO in 2013 and 2014. She has spoken at State Bar events and guardian ad litem training seminars. She is certified in Collaborative law. She has successfully defended clients in the appellate courts and is an experienced trial attorney in family and juvenile court.
